Dancer, Choreographer

Bella Brown (she/her) is a Detroit-based movement artist with a unique focus on arts in the community. Bella has received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Wayne State University, her education includes the influential work of Dr. RAS Mikey Courtney, Pilobolus, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Dance Exchange, and many other renowned dance artists and companies. Her current work is focused on the establishment of a more successful and diverse Detroit Dance community through her work with étude, Detroit’s premiere performing arts production company. In addition to her work with étude, Bella is an active choreographer and performer in the community. Her pursuits within the industry are consistently based on community engagement and the broadening of the typical dance audience.
